Excursion to the BGAKFFD for students of schools and gymnasiums participating in the Second Stage of the Republican Olympiad in the subject «Social Science»
The institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents» within the framework of the action «Archives for School» and events dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation conducted an excursion for the participants of the Second Stage of the Republican Olympiad in the subject «Social Science».
During the event, the leading archivist of the department of state accounting and scientific reference apparatus Olga Fedorovna Chernenko told the students about the formation of the BGAKFFD, the history of archiving and the work of the archival system of the Republic of Belarus.
The students got acquainted with the work in the reading room of the archive, the laboratory for the restoration of documents, and the digitization department. In the cinema hall of the archive, a screening of the film «Countdown. Belarusian space. Secret topic» about the Belarusian cosmonautics.
