On conducting an excursion for employees of the central office of the Ministry of Justice

On January 11, as part of the events dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation, a meeting was held at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus with employees of the central office of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.

The opening speech was made by the director of the archive A.K. Demyanuk, who spoke about the main areas of the archive’s work, as well as the events held in 2022.

During the tour of the archive, the researcher of the publications department T.N. Ageenko spoke about the history of the archive, the composition and features of storing documents. The guests visited the reading room, the archives, where they got acquainted with documents on the formation and development of the Belarusian statehood, the organization of the partisan movement, materials from the fund of the Ministry of Justice, etc., and also learned about the possibilities of using archive funds when studying family history.

Deputy Head of the Department of Funds of Personal Origin O. Yurkevich spoke about the peculiarities of the work of the department, the most interesting funds, acquainted the guests with the exhibition of documents of state and party leaders, scientists of Belarus, etc.
