The Belarusian Cinema and Photo Archives conducted an excursion for students of the Institute of Psychology and the Institute of Inclusive Education of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University

The Belarusian State Archives of Films, Photographs and Sound Recordings (BGAKFFD) conducted an excursion for students of the joined group of the Institute of Psychology and the Institute of Inclusive Education of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank within the 57th Star Trek to the places of military and labor glory of the Belarusian people and the Year of Historical Memory.

During the excursion, the students saw photos depicting the city of Minsk in the early 20th century and photos of the war correspondent V. I. Arkashev, as well as documentary newsreel “The Great Liberation” from1939 and “Atrocities committed by the Germans on the territory of the Belarusian SSR during the occupation” – footage of military cameramen from 1944.

The students of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University, participants of the 57th Star Trek to the places of military and labor glory, were present during the transfer of 37 photos from the family archive of Igor Protasevich to the collections of BGAKFFD, related to the life and activity of his grandfather Vyacheslav Protasevich, a Belarusian folk master of musical instruments, performer of folk tunes, participant in the partisan movement during the Great Patriotic War, a winner of the All-Union Festival of amateur artistic creativity of workers.

At the end of the tour, students and teachers of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University shared their impressions of what they saw, and thanked the archive administration and staff for the opportunity to touch the tragic pages of the past of Belarus.
