A regional seminar for directors of state, city and district archives of the region on the topic «On some issues of improving the work of archival institutions» was held at the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region, organized by the Main Department of Justice of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee

On June 5, 2025, a regional seminar for directors of state, city and district archives of the region on the topic «On some issues of improving the work of archival institutions» was held at the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region, organized by the Main Department of Justice of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

The seminar was opened by Oksana Vasilievna Pashkevich, Deputy Head of the Department of State Registration of Commercial (Non-Commercial) Organizations, Legal Expertise and Organization of Work of Archival Institutions.

The current issues in the work of state and territorial archives at the present stage were discussed, as a result of monitoring archival institutions to meet the requirements of the Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated December 27, 2006 No.2 «On the debureaucratization of the state apparatus and improving the quality of ensuring the life of the population».

Some issues of implementing administrative procedures that arose as a result of the entry into force of the new version of the Law of the Republic of Belarus No.433-Z «On the Fundamentals of Administrative Procedures» were highlighted by Ekaterina Evgenyevna Lapatneva, Chief Specialist of the Department of State Registration of Commercial (Non-Commercial) Organizations, Legal Expertise and Organization of Work of Archival Institutions.

A lively response from the participants of the event was caused by the discussion on determining the procedure for conducting an examination of the value of documents on personnel stored in territorial archives, taking into account changes in legislation. A scheme for the interaction of state and territorial archives was determined. The speakers in this area were Oksana Vasilyevna Pashkevich and Tatyana Vladimirovna Buevich, Deputy Director of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region.

At the end of the event, an exchange of opinions took place.
