A unique exhibition titled «Women Through the Eras in Belarus» opened at the Economic Court of Appeal on Mother’s Day

On October 14, 2026 — Mother’s Day — the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus organized a panel exhibition, «Women Through the Eras in the History of Belarus», for staff from the Department and the Minsk Economic Court of Appeal.

This extensive exhibition features unique materials drawn from the collections of the National Historical Archives of Belarus, the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photograph, and Sound Recordings, and the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus. O.L.Voinov, Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management, and R.S.Yelensky, Deputy Chairman of the Economic Court of Appeal, delivered welcoming remarks, warmly congratulating their colleagues on the holiday and wishing them good health and professional success.

Following this, S.N.Ryndin, Deputy Director of the National Historical Archives of Belarus, provided a detailed overview of the exhibition, which highlights the significant role women have played throughout the nation’s history. Visitors were able to view portraits and photographs of women from various social strata of the pre-revolutionary era, learn about the lives of those who participated in the partisan movement and the anti-fascist underground during the Great Patriotic War, and explore the stories of high-achieving women in industry and agriculture—both from the era of the Byelorussian SSR and the present day—as well as prominent athletes and record-holders. The exhibition’s creators also placed special emphasis on mothers with many children. The display generated great interest and a lively response from all those in attendance.
