The patriotic project «Women’s Deed: Names on the Map» took place within the framework of the «Archives – School» republican action, dedicated to the Year of the Belarusian Woman and the feat of a woman in the Great Patriotic War. As part of the project, the participants studied the biographies of female heroes, collected archival materials, created creative works, and «designed a memory map».
On December 17, 1980, Nizhne-naberezhnaya Street in Polotsk got a new name — it became Zinaida Tusnolobova-Marchenko Street. This decision became an act of deep recognition of the merits of our illustrious compatriot, the Hero of the Soviet Union, whose life path is permeated with incredible strength of spirit, pain, mercy and courage.
Zinaida Mikhailovna is a symbol of the indestructibility of the human heart. Having passed through the crucible of war, she forever remained in the memory of generations as an example of steadfastness, unbroken even in the most terrible trials.
Video dedicated to the memory of this amazing woman. The pages of her heroic biography come to life in it.
