Conducting lessons for 6th-grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.13 named after V.T.Tsabo of Grodno» as part of the «Archives for School» campaign at the «State Archives of the Grodno Region» institution

On March 24, 2025, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, the «State Archives of the Grodno Region» institution conducted 2 lessons on the topic «The Role of Archives in Preserving Historical Heritage» for 6th-grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.13 named after V.T.Tsabo of Grodno».

The archive staff told the schoolchildren about the history of the institution’s creation, composition of documents and specifics of its activities; they demonstrated the most interesting and valuable documentary materials that contain information about significant historical events of the last century that took place in the Grodno region.

In the laboratory for restoration, binding and repair of documents, students observed the process of restoring paper information carriers. The lessons ended with a tour of the archive storage facility, during which schoolchildren were told about the conditions and features of storing documents.
