Employees of the Zonal State Archive in Molodechno have prepared a virtual exhibition dedicated to the Knight of the Order of Friendship of Peoples, People’s Deputy in the USSR, Vice-Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, the first Chairperson of the Belarusian Union of Women, and talented leader Tamara Nikolaevna Dudko.
T.N.Dudko began her professional career in Molodechno, first as a shift foreman at the Molodechno Brewery, then as a chief engineer, and since 1974 as a director. During her work, she proved herself to be a leader with bold initiative and enterprise.
In 1983, T.N.Dudko was appointed General Director of PO Minskbivprom. From 1986 to 1989, she worked as the Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Council of People’s Deputies of the Partizansky District of Minsk. Then she was elected Secretary of the Committee of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on the Work of the Councils of People’s Deputies, Development of Management and Self-Government (Moscow), Deputy Chairperson of the same committee. Since 1991 – Deputy Chairperson of the Committee of the Council of the Union on Regulations and Affairs of the Chamber.
Tamara Nikolaevna Dudko stood at the origins of the Belarusian Union of Women. In 1987, she created the Minsk City Council of Women and headed it for many years.
Tamara Nikolaevna Dudko was awarded the Diploma of the Supreme Soviet of the BSSR (1976), the Certificate of Honor of the Supreme Soviet of the BSSR (1981), the Order of «Friendship of Peoples» (1986), the Certificate of Honor of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Belarus (1996).
