Lesson for the International Day of Remembrance of the Chernobyl Disaster in the Zonal State Archive in Kobrin

On April 26, 2024, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, the Zonal State Archive in Kobrin was visited by 10th grade students from secondary school No. 2 in Kobrin.

On the Day of Remembrance of the Chernobyl Disaster, archive specialists conducted a lesson for the children «Chernobyl – one word is enough…».

During the lesson, archive specialists told students about the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, its causes and scale.

Schoolchildren were shown materials from regional newspapers in the archive’s service area about this event.

At the end of the meeting, a sightseeing tour of the archive was held, which included a brief excursion into the history of the formation of the archive, information about the main activities of the institution, and a visit to the archive depository.
