Creation of a sector for digitization of archival documents in the National Historical Archives of Belarus

Pursuant to the instructions of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Belarus S.N. Khomenko In the National Historical Archives of Belarus, a sector for digitizing archival documents has been created in the department of automated archival technologies. In 2023, the archive acquired two modern, expensive planetary scanners ELAR PlanScan A2-600R, which significantly increased the volume of digitization of archival documents. In general, the created sector will allow increasing digitization from 125 thousand to 250 thousand electronic pages. In addition, in order to improve working conditions, scheduled maintenance was carried out in the offices occupied by employees of the automated archival technologies department.
