Excursion trip by the staff of the National Historical Archives of Belarus to the Grodno region, marking Archivist’s Day
On October 10, 2026, staff members of the National Historical Archives of Belarus took part in an engaging excursion trip organized to mark Archivist’s Day. The packed itinerary included a visit to a magnificent architectural ensemble — the palace complex at Ruzhany (Ruzhany Castle), formerly owned by the powerful Sapieha dynasty. Next, the group visited the Tadeusz Kościuszko Memorial Estate Museum (located in the Merechevshchina tract, Ivatsevichy District, Brest Region). The highlight of the trip was a visit to the Palace of the Counts Pusłowski (Kossovo Castle) in the Belarusian town of Kossovo, a unique 19th-century Neo-Gothic architectural landmark. The trip left the archive staff with vivid impressions, strengthened team spirit, and offered an opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation of their country’s rich historical and natural heritage.
