Tour of BelAZ for employees of the Department for Archives and Records Management and heads of republican archival institutions
On October 10, 2026, staff from the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus — led by Department Director Oleg Leonidovich Voinov — along with various directors and deputy directors of national archival institutions, toured the famous BelAZ plant in Zhodino. BelAZ is the world’s largest manufacturer of heavy-duty and ultra-heavy-duty mining dump trucks.
The tour was timed to coincide with Archivist’s Day and was organized with the support of the primary trade union organization of the Department for Archives and Records Management.
Participants toured the company museum and learned about the plant’s history, achievements, and traditions.
They had the opportunity to climb aboard the world’s largest mining dump truck and view examples of the company’s products from an observation deck. Visitors were impressed not only by the size of the vehicles but also by the scale of the plant grounds—a veritable «city within a city», complete with streets, squares, and bus stops.
The tour was a stirring experience that left a lasting impression.
