Vintsent Dunin-Martsinkevich page is added to the Famous People section in the Subject Catalogue
Vintsent Dunin-Martsinkevich page is added to the Famous People section in the Subject Catalogue to provide information on this prominent Belarusian writer of the nineteenth century, one of the founders of modern Belarusian literature and national dramatic art.
The page provides background information on Dunin-Martsinkevich, a survey of Belarusian and foreign collections relating to his life and work, a summary of his first editions, including a picture of the book’s cover and annotation, and an online exhibition of 140 documents.
The online exhibits include the writer’s autographs, textual records, photographs and sound recordings and are organised by eight topics illustrating various aspects of Dunin-Martsinkevich’s life and creative work. These were selected from four Belarusian archives — the Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art, the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Minsk, the Belarusian State Archives of Films, Photographs and Sound Recordings, and the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Grodno.
