Campaign «Archives for School» for students of the State Educational Institution «Lyceum No.1 of Baranovichi»

As part of the campaign «Archives for School», on June 19, 2025, students of grades 9-10 of the State Educational Institution «Lyceum No.1 of Baranovichi» visited the zonal state archive in Baranovichi. On the eve of June 22, 2025 – the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War, a lesson «Belarus Remembers» was held for schoolchildren, aimed at replenishing the knowledge of adolescents about the heroism and contribution of Belarusians and other peoples of the Soviet Union to the Victory over Nazi Germany.

As part of the event, a screening of the documentary film «History of the Great Victory» prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents was organized.

In conclusion, archivist Irina Stanislavovna Strechen gave the schoolchildren a tour of the archive storage facility, showed them the most interesting documents, told them about the storage conditions, and also about the use of documents.
