Members of the Heraldry Council under the President of Belarus meet with representatives of the State Council of Heraldry at the Parliament of Georgia
From 24 to 26 May 2016 the Republic of Belarus hosted a visit by the state heraldists of Georgia. .As part of the visit, the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Justice Ministry of the Republic of Belarus held a meeting between the Belarusian and Georgian heraldists. Participants at the meeting were Mr. V. Adamushko, Director of the Belarusian Department for Archives and Records Management, Deputy Chairman of the Heraldry Council under the President of Belarus and the Council’s members M. Elinskaya and V. Lyakhor. The Georgian side was represented by Mr. Mamuka Gongadze, Deputy Chairman of the State Council of Heraldry at the Parliament of Georgia and Mrs. Victoria Sardjveladze, Head of the Administration and Finance Office.
During the meeting the colleagues informed about the activities of the Heraldry Councils in both countries, the history of their creation, principles of work and the results achieved in the area of heraldry in Belarus and Georgia. They also discussed the features and principles of the official heraldic examination, the procedure of establishing symbols and their use, and the perspectives of future cooperation.
