BGAMLI Participates in Tree Planting at the Writers’ Park of Belarus
On November 5, 2026, E.A.Makarenko, Director of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (BGAMLI), took part in a tree-planting event at the Writers’ Park of Belarus, located near the National Library of Belarus.
The park was established on November 2, 2017, on the initiative of the Union of Writers of Belarus, to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Belarusian printing. In October 2022, an oak tree was planted in honor of People’s Writer Nikolai Cherginets; in November 2023, a birch tree was added to honor the Bashkir writer Khadiya Davletshina, alongside a tree dedicated to the Belarusian poet Pimen Panchenko.
During the Year of the Belarusian Woman, members of the Union of Writers of Belarus — led by E.A.Stelmakh — joined representatives from public associations, archival and museum institutions, and the youth to plant rowan trees in the park, symbolizing beauty, health, love, and family well-being.
