Tour for Ministry of Economy Staff Held at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus

On October 22, 2026, a tour was held at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as NARB) for staff members of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus.

Svyatoslav Valentinovich Kulinok, Deputy Director of NARB and a Candidate of Historical Sciences, welcomed the guests. He spoke about the extensive work carried out by the archives in the fields of publication and exhibition activities.

Margarita Anatolyevna Starostenko, Head of the Department for the Use of Documents and Information at NARB, led the tour, providing insights into the archives’ history, the composition of their holdings, and the specific methods used to preserve documents. During the tour, the visitors examined archival records that shed light on the origins of economic planning and key stages in the development of the nation’s economy. Also on display were documents detailing the history of the partisan movement, crimes committed by the German occupation authorities against the civilian population, and the forced deportation of civilians from the Byelorussian SSR to Germany for, labor.

The guests visited the NARB reading room and the document storage facilities, where they were shown records from partisan units, as well as the official master copies of the State Emblem and the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus.

Additionally, the participants viewed the exhibitions «Leaders. Working Women. Destinies» and «We Shall Not Forget That Day in June..».
