Meeting with Members of the «Post No.1» Memorial Detachment of the Hero City of Minsk at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus
On October 22, 2026, as part of the «Archives for Schools» initiative, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (NARB) hosted a meeting with members of the «Post No.1» memorial detachment — a group that stands an honorary «Watch of Memory» at the Eternal Flame in Victory Square. On this occasion, the archives were visited by students from Secondary School No.191 of Minsk (named after I.P.Paromchik).
During the visit, the students were given a tour of the archives. I.V.Dorogush, Head of the Department of Personal Papers at NARB, spoke about the history of the institution, the composition and preservation of its documents, and the archives’ work in the fields of publication and exhibition.
The students also watched a screening of the NARB video project, «We Remember…».
Furthermore, the students visited the repository housing records of partisan formations. I.V.Dorogush and T.I.Brileva, a leading archivist in the Department of Personal Papers, introduced the students to the personal files of partisan commanders, award citations, frontline bulletins, and other historical documents.
