Ceremonial Gathering at the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Honor of Mother’s Day

From October 14 to October 21, 2026, the Republic of Belarus observes «Parental Love Week», which encompasses both Mother’s Day (October 14) and Father’s Day (October 21). These observances are intended to highlight the efforts and care of parents, as well as the sincere love that mothers and fathers pour into raising their children.

On the first day of this themed week — October 14, 2026 — Mikhail Glushakov, Director of the National Historical Archives of Belarus (NIAB), addressed the staff at a ceremonial gathering. He extended his best wishes to the female archivists for Mother’s Day, wishing them family harmony, happiness, and warmth of spirit.

Following this, Deputy Director S.N.Ryndin spoke to those present about archival records held by the National Historical Archives of Belarus, the Belarusian State Archives of Film, Photograph, and Sound Recordings, and the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus. The materials presented clearly illustrate the profound impact Belarusian women have had on the history and public life of the nation, from the era of Ancient Rus’ to the present day.
