On the Participation of BelNIIDAD Employees in the «Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence» Information Development Fair

On August 6, 2026, BelNIIDAD employees participated in the «Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence» information development fair. The fair was organized by the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian Institute of System Analysis and Information Support for Science and Technology (BelISA).

The event was held to ensure compliance with Decree No.59 of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated February 4, 2013, «On the Commercialization of the Results of Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activities Created with Public Funds». The event is aimed at establishing and developing ties between enterprises, organizations, scientific and educational institutions, and the use of advanced scientific, technical, and innovative developments in the real sector of the economy.

The fair has become a significant platform for showcasing cutting-edge solutions in digitalization and artificial intelligence, bringing together developers, representatives of science, business, and government agencies. Participants presented a wide range of projects, from intelligent data analysis and predictive analytics systems to industry platforms for manufacturing, agriculture, logistics, and the social sector.

The speaker from BelNIIDAD was Z.V.Antonovich, Senior Researcher in the Archival Science Department, Phd in History, and Associate Professor, who presented a paper titled «Promising Directions for the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Archival Science». In her presentation, she touched on the generation of text and visual context, recognition of typewritten and handwritten text for semantic search, development of scientific reference tools, and the use of chatbots in servicing users and archive staff.

Participants included S.E.Kupriyanov, Head of the Archival Science Department; A.A.Sashko, Junior Researcher in the Documentation Department; and N.A.Kosyak, Junior Researcher in the Archaography Department.

The fair comprehensively examined current applications of intelligent systems, identifying promising tasks and systemic challenges facing market participants in the context of accelerated digital transformation. Participants noted the growing role of interdepartmental and intersectoral collaboration as a prerequisite for the successful implementation of innovative projects.
