Tours of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region as part of the «Archives for School» campaign

On June 25 and 26, 2026, students from Vitebsk Gymnasium No.8 and Secondary School No.42, who were attending day camps, visited the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region.

During the visits, the students gained an overview of the archive, viewed current exhibitions of archival documents, observed the restoration and digital copying processes, and visited one of the archive storage facilities. In addition, E.M. Bondareva, Head of the Department of Information Retrieval Systems and Automated Archival Technologies, spoke to the students about the heraldic symbols of Belarus and the Vitebsk region.

The events were held as part of the national «Archives for School» campaign.
