Trade Union Meeting at the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (BSAMLI)

On June 22, 2026, a reporting and election meeting of the archives and museum’s primary trade union organization was held at the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BSAMLI).

The key items on the agenda were a summary of the work of the past period and a change in the leadership of the trade union committee.

The meeting opened with a report from the current chairperson of the primary trade union organization, M.A.Filimontseva, who provided a detailed account of the trade union committee’s work for the first half of 2026. Following the discussion and approval of the report, Marina Alekseyevna resigned due to the expiration of her employment contract. Following the vote, leading archivist L.A.Rimoreva was elected as the new chairperson of the BSAMLI primary trade union organization. In accordance with Resolution No.346 of the FPB Council Presidium «On the Oath of a Trade Union Leader», the newly elected chairperson ceremoniously took the professional oath. V.I.Zubrik, Chairman of the Minsk City Organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of State and Other Institutions, attended the meeting as an invited guest and addressed the staff at the closing ceremony.

Since the meeting was held on June 22, National Remembrance Day for the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People, the archive-museum staff joined in the nationwide minute of silence to honor the memory of those who perished during the war.
