Film Lecture at the Rechitsa Hardware Plant

On June 10, 2026, in anticipation of the 85th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, employees of the Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa held a film lecture for the staff of the Rechitsa Hardware Plant. They spoke about the heroic defense of the Brest Fortress, whose soldiers were among the first to engage in relentless resistance against the Nazi invaders and, as far as possible, delayed their advance eastward. The audience was then treated to a screening of the documentary film «Hero Fortress», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Audio Documents. It includes footage of the battles at the Brest Fortress and the opening of the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex.
