On April 27, 2026, as part of the «Young Archivist» pilot project, the State Archives of the Grodno Region held two classes for fourth-year students of the Faculty of History, Communication, and Tourism at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.

Archive staff introduced the students to the composition and content of the archive’s documents and the specifics of working with the scientific reference apparatus during research. The students were presented with collections of documents and materials, as well as online projects developed with the archive’s participation.

During the classes, the students visited the archive’s storage facility and the department of document digitization and restoration. A screening of the documentary «Chernobyl: Chronicles of a Tragedy», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents and dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant accident, was organized for students.
