On the «Archives for School» campaign at the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region

From March 16 to 20, 2026, an internship was held at the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region for students majoring in history education from the P.M.Masherov Vitebsk State University. The goal of the internship was to familiarize them with the archive’s core activities and develop skills in identifying archival documents.

The classes, organized as part of the «Archives for School» campaign and the «Young Archivist» project, included both theoretical and practical exercises. Additionally, the students were given a tour of the archive and a viewing of documentaries prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, as well as virtual exhibitions prepared by the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region. A discussion of the results of the work and a summary of the internship program took place during a seminar that concluded the internship program.
