A tour of the Vitebsk Region State Archives for students from the Vitebsk City Center for Continuing Education for Children and Youth

As part of the «Archives for School» campaign, students from Vitebsk schools and gymnasiums, as well as members of the «Media School» interest group of the Vitebsk City Center for Continuing Education for Children and Youth, visited the Vitebsk Region State Archives on November 27, 2025. The visit focused on the types and forms of use of archive documents, particularly publication and exhibition activities. The students eagerly browsed through collections of documents, watched the film «The History of the Great Victory», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, and exhibition projects from the Vitebsk Region State Archives.

The participants learned about how documents are preserved in a modern archive during a visit to one of the archives’ storage facilities.
