BGAMLI Visits the Belarusian Railway History Museum
On October 30, 2025, staff from the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) visited the Belarusian Railway History Museum, which had reopened after reconstruction.
Archive and Museum specialists toured the new exhibition, which explores Belarusian railway transport. The modern design and interactive presentation of museum objects and documents make the new exhibition attractive and engaging for today’s visitors. Unique life-size and three-dimensional exhibits, visual and sound signals, emblems, railway paraphernalia and devices, station models, archival documents, photographs, and awards brought to life the history of railway technology, as well as the labor dynasties, Belarusian inventors, and outstanding figures who dedicated their lives to developing this sector. The original artistic design of the new exhibition allows different categories of visitors to find their own way to learn about the history of railway transport.
Archivists have proposed joint projects with museum staff based on the exchange of information about the movements of famous cultural and artistic figures by rail during creative and business trips, as well as tours. Learning about the use of artificial intelligence in document processing will contribute to the professional growth of archivists.
