The Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art visited the exhibition «Belarus and the Bible»

On October 27, 2025, staff of the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art visited the exhibition project «Belarus and the Bible», prepared by the Theological Institute of Christians of the Evangelical Faith. The exhibition is dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the publication of the book «Apostle» by Francysk Skaryna.

The unique exhibition is divided into five sections (the historical context of the Holy Scriptures, the Dead Sea Scrolls and ancient manuscripts of the Old Testament, New Testament manuscripts, and medieval manuscripts in ancient languages) and tells the story of the Bible spanning 5,000 years.

In addition to the main exhibition space, there are areas where visitors can learn to write with a quill pen, try their hand at being a first printer and print a page from Francysk Skaryna’s Bible, talk to Francysk Skaryna’s robot, and take a photo in the «Noah’s Book» photo zone.

By visiting the «Belarus and the Bible» exhibition, archive-museum staff were able to connect with the history of the Bible and see the process by which Francysk Skaryna gave the country the first books in its native language.
