Safety Dialogue: Molodechno Archivists Participate in the State Energy and Gas Supervision Service’s National Campaign

As part of the national campaign «Safety is…», a preventative meeting was held at the Zonal State Archives in Molodechno between the workforce and Anastasia Gromova, an energy and gas supervision inspector from the Molodechno Interdistrict Office for Minsk and the Minsk Region.

The guest began with a simple but important reminder: electricity, heat, and gas are not only a convenience but also a responsibility. She discussed typical violations that most often lead to accidents: overloading electrical networks, using faulty heaters, and storing gas cylinders in unauthorized locations. She provided examples of real-life incidents, explained how they could have been avoided, and what to do if the smell of gas appeared in an apartment or a short circuit occurred. The discussion focused on safety in archival premises. Participants discussed the importance of the institution’s technical equipment, including the modern gas fire suppression system installed in the archive.

At the end of the meeting, participants were given commemorative leaflets with emergency response procedures and emergency services contact information. The archive once again confirmed its active participation in fostering civic awareness and effective collaboration with those involved in preventing accidents at home and in the workplace.
