The Chairperson of the Primary Trade Union Organization of the State Archive in Glubokoe Alina Yurgel and her daughter Elizaveta visited the memorial complex «Shunevka» («Curse to fascism») in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and honored the memory of the residents of the village of Shunevka in the Dokshitsy district burned by the Nazis.
The tragedy occurred on May 22, 1943, the Nazis killed 66 people, including 15 children. Adults were burned in a barn, and children were thrown alive into a well. The inscription on the granite slab reads: «They loved life. But they burned in the flames of war at the hands of the fascist executioners. People. Be vigilant. Take care of the peace».
