«The History of the Great Victory» on the Big Screen: Molodechno Archivists Took Part in a Film Lecture for the Day of Remembrance

A film lecture was held in the Rodina Cinema for children from daytime educational and health camps of labor and recreation institutions of the Molodechno District. Employees of the zonal state archive took part in the event, emphasizing the importance of historical memory in the education of young people.

Before the screening of the documentary film «The History of the Great Victory», archivist Maria Mechkovskaya gave a summary of it. In an accessible and touching form, she spoke about the key stages of the Great Patriotic War and the importance of preserving the historical truth.

On the eve of the memorable date – June 22, the Day of the Beginning of the Great Patriotic War, archivist Olga Berezovskaya gave a brief excursion into history, presenting a roll-up exhibition dedicated to the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Nazi occupation. In her presentation, she touched upon the tragic pages of the past, emphasizing the importance of preserving the memory of the victims and preventing similar events in the future.

The event was not only educational, but also emotionally significant: the children had the opportunity to better understand the scale of the tragedy and the heroism of their people.
