On the visit of the Slavgorod District Museum of History and Local History and the Lesnyanskaya Library by an employee of the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region»
As part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, the head of the department of the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region» Tatyana Shevchik visited the Slavgorod District Museum of History and Local History and the Lesnyanskaya Library in the village of Lesnaya.
Tatyana Shevchik visited the exhibition hall, which is located in the rural library in the village of Lesnaya in the Slavgorod District, Mogilev Region, where she saw the military actions of the Russian and Swedish armies on the territory of the Mogilev Region; got acquainted with the materials dedicated to the Battle of Lesnaya; saw a model of the battlefield, which displays the situation before the start of the general battle at noon on September 28, 1708, got acquainted with portraits of Russian military leaders and Swedish generals, portraits of Peter I and Charles XII, paintings, display cases with awards, among which are medals for the Battle of Lesnaya. She also visited the memorial chapel and a monument in honor of the victory of the Russian army over the Swedes, visiting the garden of peace and harmony.
Then, as part of these events, she visited the Slavgorod District Museum of History and Local History, where she got acquainted with the exhibits dedicated to the Genocide of the Belarusian people, the liberation of the Propoisk district and the partisan movement in the territory of the Propoisk district.
