The «Archives for School» campaign at the «Zonal State Archives in Lida» institution

On June 19, 2025, the «Zonal State Archives in Lida» institution was visited by students of grades 5-8 of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.11 in Lida» who were attending a summer school camp. The students were given lessons on the topic «Introduction to Archival Affairs», and were given overview tours of the archive with visits to exhibitions. The archive staff also held master classes on the topic: «I am learning to write with a bird’s feather»..

The students learned how documents are received in the archive for storage, how quick search for information among a large array of documents and archive funds is ensured, their safety and use.

As part of the «Open Film Archive» project, the children were shown the film «History of the Great Victory», prepared by the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents».
