The «Archives for School» campaign at the «Zonal State Archives in Lida» institution

On June 12, 2025, the «Zonal State Archives in Lida» institution was visited by 6th-grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.12 in Lida» who were attending a summer school camp. The students were given lessons on the topic «Introduction to Archival Affairs», and were given overview tours of the archive with visits to exhibitions.

The archive staff also held master classes on the topic: «I am learning to write with a bird’s feather».

The students learned how documents are received in the archive for storage, how quick search for information is ensured among a large array of documents and archive funds, their safety and use. The children spent their time usefully and were able to try themselves in the role of archivists.
