On holding an event in the institution «State Archives of the Gomel Region» within the framework of the republican campaign «Archives – to School»

On May 13, 2025, an event was held in the State Archives of the Gomel Region for 4th-year correspondence students of the Faculty of History and Intercultural Communications of the Francisk Skorina State University, dedicated to the study of archival documents through the prism of the events of the Great Patriotic War. The students got acquainted with documents on the atrocities of the Nazi invaders in the occupied territory of the Gomel region. They were told about the activities of partisan detachments in the occupied territory of Belarus and were shown documents from the period of the Great Patriotic War on the awarding of partisans of the Dobrush region. A documentary film by BGAKFFD «History of the Great Victory» was also shown.

At the end of the event, the students were given a tour of the archive, where they got acquainted with the conditions for storing documents.
