Participation of BGAMLI employees in the dialogue platform «Memory of the People»

On May 7, 2025, employees of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter BGAMLI), headed by Director E.A. Makarenko, took part in the work of the dialogue platform «Memory of the People», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The platform was prepared by the Minsk city organization of employees of state and other enterprises in the large hall of the Pioneer cinema.

The dialogue platform was opened by V.I. Zubrik, chairman of the city trade union organization. The participants watched the documentaries «Death Camps», «Burnt Villages» and «History of the Great Victory». The film «History of the Great Victory» was presented by D.S. Samokhvalov, leading researcher of the Department of Information, Publication and Use of Documents of BGAMLI. He spoke about the activities of Belarusian archives in preserving the social memory of the Great Patriotic War and Victory Day.

The speech met with considerable interest from the audience. D.S. Samokhvalov answered questions from those present. E.A. Makarenko invited members of the city trade union organization to participate in the events of the BGAMLI.
