Remembrance Day at the National Historical Archives of Belarus
On the eve of the anniversary of the Great Victory, on May 8, 2025, a ceremonial meeting of the staff was held at the National Historical Archives of Belarus.
The director of the NIA of Belarus, Mikhail Glushakov, spoke to those present and noted how important it is to honor the memory of the great feat of the Soviet people who won the Great Patriotic War – the bloodiest and most destructive war in the history of mankind, which will never be forgotten. We won the victory at the cost of incredible losses. Having united in the face of mortal danger, the Soviet people showed unbending fortitude, courage and heroism. This holiday is a day of remembrance and gratitude, a day of hope that did not fade over the many years that the hostilities lasted.
Archive Director Mikhail Glushakov and Deputy Archive Director Natalia Buloichik congratulated their colleagues on the Great Victory Day and wished everyone goodness, happiness, well-being, and peace and prosperity to our native Belarus!
