Participation of BGAMLI in the dialogue platform «Relay of Generations» with a screening of the documentary film «History of the Great Victory»

On April 23, 2025, representatives of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) took part in a joint event of the Pioneer cinema, the Council of Veterans and the Youth Council of the Moscow District of Minsk organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers «Relay of Generations», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The dialogue platform «Relay of Generations» included speeches by N.S.Kolesnikovich, Chairman of the Moscow District of Minsk organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers, N.F.Chernyak, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Pedagogical Labor of the Moscow District, and the ensemble «Ot vsekh dushchi». The meeting included a screening of the films «Death Camps» by the Belarusfilm studio and «The History of the Great Victory» created by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents with the participation of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.

The film «The History of the Great Victory» was presented by D.S.Samokhvalov, a leading researcher at the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents. He spoke about the activities of Belarusian directors and cameramen during the war and the activities of Belarusian archives to preserve social memory. The films aroused great interest among the participants of the event, becoming an occasion for deep reflection on the significance of the Victory for our country.
