Screening of the documentary film «History of the Great Victory» by the staff of the National Historical Archives of Belarus for the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War

On April 21, 2025, a screening of the documentary film «History of the Great Victory» was held for the archive’s employees in the conference hall of the National Historical Archives of Belarus.

The film was created in accordance with the Plan for the preparation and holding of events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents with the participation of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.

The film shows the main stages of the Great Patriotic War: the attack of Nazi Germany, the defense of the Brest Fortress, the Battle of Moscow, Operation Bagration, the «rail war», military operations in East Prussia, the Battle of Berlin. The viewer is presented with newsreel footage of the parade of partisan units in Minsk, the Victory Parade in Moscow, and the celebration of Victory Day in Belarus in different years.
