Presentation of the unique publication «Belarusian Archive of Ancient Letters» in the institution «Zonal State Archive in Lida»

On 11.04.2025, the institution «Zonal State Archive in Lida» hosted a presentation of the unique publication «Belarusian Archive of Ancient Letters» in two parts, which was the result of a joint project of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art and the National Library of Belarus. The director of the archive Svetlana Gennadyevna Svirko told the staff about the outstanding Belarusian Orthodox priest, historian and archaeographer Ivan Ivanovich Grigorovich, who left a rich scientific heritage, which to this day is the foundation for studying the history of Belarus; about the preparation and publication of the first part of the «Belarusian Archive of Ancient Letters» in 1824, which marked the beginning of Belarusian archeography; about the second part of the collection, published in the form of manuscript sheets stored in the funds of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art.
