On the visit of the State Archives of the Brest Region by students of Brest Secondary School No.9

On April 7, 2025, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, the State Archives of the Brest Region was visited by 8th-grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.9 of Brest named after A.F.Naganov».

Employees of the Department of Use and Publication of Documents gave the children a lecture on the history of archival affairs in Belarus, introduced them to the history of the State Archives of the Brest Region, and told them about the composition of the archive documents, including those on the history of the Great Patriotic War. During the lecture, the children were shown the film «On the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Brest from the Nazi Invaders», prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents.

The schoolchildren were given a sightseeing tour of the archive with a visit to the archive storage facility and a laboratory for the repair and restoration of archival documents.
