The international MEDIA MARATHON «No Statute of Limitations: Unconquered» has started in Molodechno

Today, the 3rd International Media Marathon for teenagers «No Statute of Limitations: Unconquered» was solemnly opened in Secondary School No.14. The event is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, as well as to counteracting the falsification of events in the history of the Great Patriotic War. The media marathon is designed for three days, during which students from schools and gymnasiums in Molodechno and Krasnenskaya Secondary School will learn to shoot video stories using archival photo and film documents.

Before the start of the forum, the director of Secondary School No.14 Kalina Kaputskaya introduced the participants of the event to the exhibition in the hall of memory of the victims of the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War «Torn Souls».

During the opening of the media marathon, Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus Oleg Voinov and other speakers emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory. And documentary archival sources play a major role in this. They shape public consciousness and are an important tool for cultural and educational work.

Experienced figures in the field of cinematography from Russia and their young assistants from the children’s film studio «Rakurs» (city of Izhevsk) came to share their experience and knowledge with our young fellow countrymen. The media marathon includes master classes, practical classes, viewing and discussion of films and stories, and an award ceremony for the winners.
