On holding a thematic lesson «Land scorched by war» with students of the Educational Institution «Mozyr State College of Builders»

As part of the republican campaign «Archives for School», on March 20, 2025, a thematic lesson «Land scorched by war» was organized for students of the educational institution «Mozyr State College of Builders» together with the employees of the State Cultural Institution «Mozyr Central District Library named after A.S.Pushkin». The library staff acquainted the students with the history of the destruction of the Belarusian village of Khatyn, as well as with the history of the construction of a memorial complex on the site of the burned village.

An employee of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Mozyr» Suponenko Yu.M. presented a video presentation to the students about the villages of the Polesie region burned by the Nazi invaders. Yulia Mikhailovna acquainted them with archival documents testifying to the facts of genocide of the civilian population of the Mozyr and Narovlya districts during the occupation period.
