Participation of employees of the Belarusian State Film and Photo Archives in commemorative events dedicated to the 36th anniversary of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan and the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers

On February 15, 2025, employees of the institution «Belarusian State Film and Photo Archives» Deputy Director Grinevich E.M., Deputy Head of the Department for the Formation of the National Archival Fund Dolzhenkova T.P. and procurement specialist Varivodskaya M.A. took part in commemorative events dedicated to the 36th anniversary of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan and the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers.

A flower-laying ceremony at the memorial sign of internationalist soldiers and the Stele of the Liberators of Dzerzhinsk took place on the central square of the city of Dzerzhinsk. After the laying of flowers, a ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 36th anniversary of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan and a concert with the participation of schoolchildren from the music school of arts took place at the State Educational Institution «Dzerzhinsk Children’s School of Arts».

In conclusion, the participants of the event observed a minute of silence for all participants in the Afghan war who honorably fulfilled their international duty.
