Meeting to exchange experience – employees of the institution «State Archive of the Gomel Region» visited the institution «Zonal State Archive in Rechitsa»

On January 21, 2025, the director of the institution «State Archive of the Gomel Region» Yuri Shestopalov and the head of the department of use Zoya Aleksandrovich met with the director of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Rechitsa» Natalia Pishchik as part of the exchange of experience. The reading room of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Rechitsa» in 2023 became the best in the nomination «Best reading room of the zonal state archive».

During the meeting, colleagues discussed practical issues for each of the types of archive activities, current problems and prospects for further professional development.

Natalia Pishchik conducted a sightseeing tour of the archive building. Colleagues were shown the archive storage, the reading room and were demonstrated the operation of equipment for digitizing archival documents.

Following the working meeting, Director Yuri Shestopalov expressed gratitude to the staff of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Rechitsa» for hospitality and the opportunity to adopt positive experience. Such meetings allow both to improve the current work of archival institutions and to promote the development of the archival industry as a whole.
