«Archives – school»: a lesson at secondary school No. 8 in Rechitsa
On October 18, 2024, as part of the Archives – School campaign and the pilot project «Young Archivist», the staff of the Rechitsa State Archive held a history lesson for students of grades 9-10 of secondary school No. 8 in Rechitsa, dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Rechitsa from the Nazi invaders (November 18, 1943). The children listened attentively information about the battles for their hometown, got acquainted with archival documents and publications from the scientific reference library on the topic of the lesson. In addition to the above, a screening of the BGAKFFD documentary «Liberation» took place, which included footage of the military chronicle with the offensive of Soviet troops on Rechitsa.
