On the completion of advanced training courses for employees of archives and documentation services of government agencies and other organizations
From October 21 to 25, 2024, employees of archives and documentation services of government agencies and other organizations underwent advanced training in the curriculum «Modern Trends in Records Management and Archival Science».
The advanced training courses were organized by the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice jointly with the History Department of the Belarusian State University on the basis of the Faculty of Advanced Training and Retraining of the Belarusian State University.
The lectures were given by teachers of the Belarusian State University, responsible employees of the Department of Archives and Records Management, highly qualified specialists of the republican archival institutions.
The archival industry was represented by the director of the institution «Belarusian Research Institute of Records Management and Archival Science», candidate of historical sciences, associate professor RYBAKOV A.E., head of the department of records management and formation of the NAF of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus SHEVCHENKO T.A.
On October 22, 2024, First Deputy Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management O.A.LEDOVSKAYA held a round table «Modern Challenges and Opportunities in Document Management and Archival Affairs». The round table discussed topical issues of the activities of archives and documentation services of organizations at the present stage: organizing work with electronic documents, ensuring information security, increasing the availability of archival information, and retraining of personnel.
As part of the courses, 16 employees of government agencies and organizations, state archives were trained.
The program of classes had relevant topics and covered the following issues:
– organization of the work of the organization’s archive and the documentation service of management;
– regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Belarus and guarantees of the right to information;
– legal problems of information security and liability in law;
– regulatory legal, methodological documents in the field of activity of the documentation service of management and the archive of the organization;
– electronic document management systems;
– solutions for corporate content management;
– ensuring archival storage of electronic documents of government agencies and other organizations;
– modern trends in the development of information retrieval systems for archival documents.
At the end of the advanced training courses, the results were summed up, the head of the source study department of the history faculty of BSU KHODIN S.N. and the director of BelNIIDAD RYBAKOV A.E. presented the students with certificates of advanced training of the established form.
Work on improving the qualifications of employees of state bodies and organizations will continue in 2025.
