Joint temporary exhibition «How We Lived, About Which the Marines»

On September 17, 2024, a joint temporary exhibition «How We Lived, About Which the Marines» opened at the State Memorial Complex «Khatyn», dedicated to the Day of National Unity.

The National Archives of the Republic of Belarus presented archival documents at the exhibition, reflecting the most important events of 1939.

One of the first events of the Soviet government in Western Belarus was the creation of temporary administrations, peasant committees and workers’ guards, which took control of all spheres of life in Western Belarus and ensured their work. Soviet posters, announcements, posters, advertisements of everyday goods, banknotes, household items presented at the exhibition convey the spirit of the times, reveal the originality of «advertising in the Soviet style».
