On the ceremonial meeting of the staff of the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation

On September 17, 2024, the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation held a ceremonial meeting of the staff dedicated to the «National Unity Day».

At the meeting, the director of the BGANTD A.P.Kurakov made a detailed report in which he covered in detail the main historical events that played a key role in the formation of the Republic of Belarus as a sovereign and independent state. In his speech, Andrei Petrovich paid special attention to the importance of celebrating National Unity Day. According to him, this day symbolizes the unity of the nation and is an important reminder of the resilience and independence of the Belarusian people. The director also emphasized that National Unity Day not only confirms the significance of the country’s historical achievements, but also forms in every citizen a sense of pride in their homeland and involvement in its fate. This holiday helps to strengthen national self-awareness and unity, uniting people around the idea of preserving and developing Belarusian statehood.

At the end of the meeting, the archive staff watched the film «Reunification», prepared by the «Belarusian State Film and Photo Documentary Archive». The old footage captured a significant event: the unification of Eastern and Western Belarus into a single state, the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic.
