June 26, 2024, on the eve of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Mogilev from the Nazi invaders at the regional library named after. V.I. Lenin, as part of the scientific and practical conference «Young librarians for the preservation of historical truth during the Great Patriotic War», a presentation of the book «Liberation of the city of Mogilev on June 28, 1944» took place. From memories…», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.

This publication is based on authentic archival materials from the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region». Archival materials introduce us to the memories and photographs of the hero-liberators of the city of Mogilev in June 1944.

On June 28, 2024, the city of Mogilev celebrates a memorable date – the 80th anniversary of the liberation from the Nazi invaders, and on July 3, 2024, our entire country celebrates the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus and the day of the liberation of the city of Minsk from the Nazi invaders during Operation Bagration.

Therefore, June 28 and July 3 are not just holiday dates. This is a symbol of the feat of the entire Belarusian people, their heroism in the Great Patriotic War.
